GREY MATTER (2015)
Installation consists of anonymous landscape paintings that are covered with a thick coat of grey colour. The brush strokes and the layers of the existing paint beneath, create a feeling of a fine bas-relief that serves as the only hint of nature's diversity. Nevertheless, this neutral monochromatism is just the cortex sheltering knowledge of kaleidoscopic dimensions. The project may be seen as an expressive attempt to mimic the outer layer of human brain consisting of the grey matter. Each neuron of which, pulsing with information is compared here to the world depicted by the original artwork.
